TRIVIA CRACK: CRACK THE TRIVIA!
Have you heard of Trivia Crack? “Trivia Crack” is an online game which lets people play against their friends and other users. It was released in October 26, 2013, and in December 2014, it became the most downloaded game application in the Apple App Store. It is now available everywhere, and anywhere.
The game is based on six different categories: Geography, Sports, Art, Science, History, and Entertainment. The objective of the game is to get all the characters of the categories before your opponent does. When you spin the wheel, and you get your first question correct, you must answer 2 more questions correct in order to get a crown. If you get a crown, you are able to pick a category, and if you get the question right, you get the character of that category that you chose, or you can challenge your opponent for one of their characters. The crown gives you an opportunity to win a character without having to answer three consecutive questions in a row. The first person who gets all six characters wins. Trivia Crack contains many features that enhance the game. It lets one connect to Facebook, giving one the ability to challenge one’s friends on Facebook. Through the chatting system, one is able to chat their opponent. One’s category performance shows how much one actually knows based on the subject. Playing this game can help increase their knowledge on each category. When asked several SIS students about what they thought of the game, they responded with different answers. “In my opinion, I think it became popular because the game lets you connect to Facebook, and also because many started uploading screenshots of their victory,” said Jamie Shin (7). When asked whether the game was educational or not, Sarah Ryu (8) responded with “I think it is educational and that we’re not wasting our time playing the game, because we learn a lot of new stuff. I learned many things through this game like the elements on the periodic table, and a lot about history.” Overall, Trivia Crack has been a very popular game as the players can learn educational elements through the game. This has also been a very interactive way to connect with friends through various features shown in the game. |
