The upcoming 8th grade camp to Gangwon Province has aroused many expectations and questions from students. The schedule has brought anticipations to make amazing memories and to have the fun that the student body has desired for a long time. Because the 8th graders have missed out their 5th grade and 7th grade camp, the confirmed date has led to the relief of many students and they look for a great way to wrap up their last year of middle school.
The first event that surely catches students’ attention is the dance party that is scheduled on the second night of the trip. The White Dance has been set as the theme and many students are looking forwards to great food, upbeat jamming music and just a great way to relieve stress and spend time with their friends. Just like the successful Valentine’s Bash, many people are anticipating a party-like atmosphere with the dance floor open to everyone. “I am very excited for the White Dance, as I hope it will be a stress-relieving opportunity for us students,” Bill Lee (8) said. The second event that many students are looking forward to is the Survival Game. This thrilling game can be full of competition and intensity. This game shows a person’s ability to adapt to their surroundings, strategizing, and it also enhances one's dexterity. The anticipation is high especially amongst the boys because it would be a way for them to relieve their stress level by competing in a thrilling fun and excitement. Ben Kim (8) stated, “The survival game is something that I’m definitely looking forwards to because I really want to try competing against my friends and even some teachers. I think that it’ll be the best part of the trip and that we’ll be able to have a really great time”. Considering previous accidents, all school trips has been cancelled due to safety concerns by the Korean government. Due to this reason, many students have felt a sense of disappointment and frustration. Now that a definite date has been set, many students are looking forwards to this final trip that will hopefully make long lasting memories as the end of middle school. |
